Reliability Engineer Position in Attapulgus, GA
Responsibilities:
Develop reliability programs and/or practices to achieve and/or surpass maintenance departmental KPIs and analyze or create preventive maintenance procedures and/or practices to ensure validity, efficiency and maximizing equipment performance and availability while balancing maintenance costs.
Develop equipment repair best practices, procedures and specifications and precision maintenance techniques and ensure cost effective bill of materials are established and in use within the existing Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (SAP).
Generate, modify or delete maintenance strategies based on RCM methodologies and participate, facilitate, and review Root Cause Analyses.
Review engineering specifications and design modification proposals to improve reliability within cost and other performance requirements.
Participate in the predictive maintenance program for the facility to include: Thermal Scanning (IR), Ultrasonic, Oil Analysis and Vibration Monitoring to ensure compliance with registration certifications and established standards.
Coordinate with maintenance, production and storeroom personnel to establish and maintain the proper stocking levels of parts and equipment required to provide maximum equipment uptime at the lowest possible costs.
Provide leadership and demonstrate Critical Behaviors to direct and indirect reports in order to maintain high efficiency within the maintenance team and promote professional development and also with environmental engineering to ensure Best Maintenance Practices are utilized in order to facilitate an environmentally safe facility.
Participate with interdepartmental staff at all levels of the organization, to create, obtain and support optimal maintenance practices and programs, improvement in the maintenance planning, scheduling, execution processes (MPI) and maintain SAP functional location master data and equipment files.
Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering and 5
years experience in maintenance or reliability engineering.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Excellent computer skills to include SAP, CMMS software, manufacturing software, spreadsheets and word processing software.
Must possess the ability to work independently and deliver projects/tasks on time and within budget.
Must be team oriented and be able to lead and direct members of the maintenance team.
